Charlene Simon is the master soapmaker and creator of  Bathhouse Soapery & Caldarium, a handmade bath and body company founded in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Bathhouse Row. Charlene has been making soap from scratch since the late 90's and is a member of the Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild. Her specialty is handcrafted soap that is made using her own recipe which is over a decade old. She gives equal attention to her very unique body scrubs, mineral bath salts, milk lotions, and complimenting bathing essentials.

• Soaps cut fresh off the raw loaf. Each soap is hand-poured into 22" wooden mold (handmade by her husband). Each loaf is then set out on shelves to achieve maxiumum maturity. When you're ready the Bathhouse staff measures and cuts your soap off the loaf by hand to gurantee the most freshness and quality.
• "The Original" Foaming Body Scrub Bar where you'll find 18 varieties of sugar, salt, coffee, and oatmeal scrubs that are hand-dipped straight from apothecary jars and packaged in the container of your choice.
• "The Original" Mineral Bath Bar offers a variety of Mediterranean Sea salts focusing on aromatherapy. You pick the packaging and Bathhouse fills your jar.
• The Bathhouse Perfumery gives you a glimpse into the past and how old world perfumers used to blend aromatic notes. With over 100 notes you're bound to find the perfect fragrance for you.
• Bathhouse's products are made, packaged, and labeled by hand every day right in front of their customers.

The bathing menu changes with the seasons and sometimes sooner. "This gives my customers a reason to come back often and try a new soap or bath luxury to maximize their me-time." You'll find classic customer favorites year-round but you may discover unique blends she creates on a whim or by season that retire after only one batch.

Charlene lives in Hot Springs with her husband Justin and their three children Mackenzie, Justin Jr., and Farren.
