"Oh my gawsh, I LOVE Charlene Simon. I remember when I'd shop with her before Bathhouse and now that she's back...I'm back! Char is sooooo generous with her customers, ensuring that the purchase flies here, a box full of goodies, samples galore and huge chunks of soaps that are super FRESH! Yes, Charlene Simon's soaps are fresh and you can feel the freshness of the batches in the scenting and moistness that exists when you touch the soap. Very cured but extremely fresh and that's rare because sometimes "very cured" is equivalent to rubbin' a foamin' rock against your body. I've used Hot Toddy and Forbidden bar soaps to wash my hair and it looks incredible. Yes. My hair. It's thin, ain't so hot, ain't so pretty but Char's selected ingredients in her soaps make it possible for me to suds up my hair leavin' it shiny, thick and naturally bodified. The Mini Scrub ain't so mini, I'll say that! This ain't a one or two ouncer mini...it's well over four ounces of sugarific foamy goodness! I love everything I received in this order as I'd missed out on all of Char's major sales. I cannot thank her enough for her creative passions, whimsical convos, generosity and her thoughtful, loving heart."

I was a little reluctant to try using any fancy looking soaps but because my sweetheart had purchased me a couple of bars as a gift, I decided to give them a try! First, the Espresso with my bath was better than using any loofah sponge and the lather was thick and dreamy...and it has Espresso beans in the soap, an invigorating experience. I can't wait to try the Spearmint with my shower tomorrow and I will be buying soap by mail order now from my favorite soapmaker....THE BATHOUSE!!!! "

Detox is fruity & herby, a very spa inspired scent...Melt is very minty and refreshing...Wake is energizing...Sleep is comforting and elegant.

"This is the kind of soap {Buttered Maple Oatmeal} that's "complete." Doesn't have that cloying faux foodie scent but is genuinely natural so it moves readily into any other body butter or fragrances. I had super lathered with this creamy baby and then proceeded to shave, relathered again over where I'd shaved and then rinsed! Kid you not, the smoothest, most glowing, most golden gams ever! So natural and soft. This bar of soap was not only meant to cleanse the skin but to exfoliate, act as a shave creme de savon meets lotion cleansing bar all in one step. Whatta total pleasant surprise! Oh! And Char's soaps are sooooo fresh, the freshest soaps that I've ever used. It's cured enough for longevity yet is succulently fresh due to the amazing texture, lather and super scentsational fragrance payoff on the skin. 1. Please forgive me for the delay in letting you know this wonderful body glaze arrived. In fact, it arrived mere days after I ordered it and I have been enjoing it ever since.
2. I was hoping that this body glaze would be creamy with a nice scent. It is not simply creamy, it is decadent. It does not simply have a nice scent, it has a breathe in deeply and sigh with delight fragrance.
3. The packaging is beautiful. The cost is beyond reasonable for the quality offered and the customer service is top notch.

"oh wow, you weren't kidding - 3 Layer Brickle is a HUGE & generous chunk of soap. it doesn't smell chocolatey or foody to me, but nevertheless, still pleasant. What I'd like to rave about is Fig & Milk. just WOW! i love the scent, very unique and unlike anything i've ever smelled before. i've used up my Pumpkin Butter bar to nothing but a sliver, and i loved it to bits! really can't wait to use up all the soaps so i can try others from your store.
